Events, Holidays, Notifications, and Live Activities

Events sit alongside lessons. Holidays block a date range and can pause or reset the timetable. Notifications and Live Activities keep the current or next item visible when you are not inside the app.

Add an event

  1. Open Timetable and tap the add button.
  2. Choose Add Event.
  3. Enter title, start, end, repeat rule, reminders, location, and notes.
  4. Turn on Prioritise events if the event should override overlapping lessons.
  5. Optionally link the event to a subject.
  6. Tap Save.

Add an event to Calendar

  1. Open the event detail screen.
  2. Tap Add to Calendar.
  3. Allow Calendar access if prompted.
  4. ClassConnect S creates or updates the matching Calendar event.

Add a holiday

  1. Open Settings and go to the timetable dates or holidays area.
  2. Create a new holiday.
  3. Enter title, description, start date, and end date.
  4. Enable Reset timetable after holiday if your school's week cycle restarts after the break.
  5. Save the holiday.

Events can repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or on selected days. Expired events and holidays can be cleared from their expired item screens.

Enable reminders

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Notifications.
  3. Allow notification access if iOS asks.
  4. Turn on Enable notifications.
  5. Choose lesson reminder behavior, event reminders, and daily summary options.
  6. Set the lead time, such as how many minutes before a lesson to alert.

Use Live Activities

  1. Open Settings and Notifications.
  2. Turn on Live Activities.
  3. Choose whether Live Activities should remain visible during breaks.
  4. Keep notifications enabled so the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island can show the current or next item.

Mute reminders temporarily

  1. Open a lesson from a notification or the timetable.
  2. Use the mute options to mute that lesson occurrence or the rest of the day.
  3. The app reschedules the next relevant reminder.

Reminder controls

Subject editors include a per-subject lesson reminder switch. Parent mode includes per-student and per-subject notification controls. Daily Summary can greet the user by name if that setting is enabled.
