Getting Started

ClassConnect S supports Student, Parent, and Teacher roles. The role controls what the app asks during setup and which timetable data can be edited.

Choose the right role

Student

Manage your own timetable.

Use Student mode for subjects, lessons, events, holidays, reminders, widgets, Apple Watch data, iCloud sync, and read-only sharing with parents or friends.

Parent

View a student's timetable.

Use Parent mode to add one or more read-only student timetables. Parents can configure notifications but cannot edit the student's source timetable.

Teacher

Build around classes and cover.

Use Teacher mode for subjects, lessons, optional reusable class groups, rooms, teacher details, cover lessons, and timetable changes tied to teaching groups.

First launch setup

  1. Open ClassConnect S.Move through the intro screens until the app asks how you will use the timetable.
  2. Select Student, Parent, or Teacher.Choose the role that matches who will control the timetable data.
  3. Enter a display name. This can appear in summaries, sharing flows, and profile labels.
  4. Choose the timetable cycle.Use weekly, A/B, or a custom 2-4 week cycle.
  5. Choose reminder and iCloud options. You can adjust these later in Settings.
  6. For Parent mode, enter an invite code. The student creates this code from their device.

For alternating weeks

If your school uses A/B weeks or another repeating cycle, set it during onboarding. You can adjust the current cycle week later in Settings.

What to do next

If the timetable is empty after setup, use Quick Setup and import. Add subjects before lessons so each lesson has the right name, color, icon, room, and teacher details.

If you chose Teacher mode, follow Teacher Setup. Teacher setup starts with subjects and lessons, then lets you save class groups and rooms only when they are useful to reuse.

If you chose Parent mode, ask the student to create an invite code from Parent Sync. Parent timetables are read-only by design.
